SL5000
Vertagear sent over two color variants of their SL5000 model, plus their optional RGB Kits. First up is the Blue/Black trim. Pictures don’t do justice in how impressive this combo is in person. Let’s back up though and detail what you are getting for $389 (RGB Kit is an addon).
This is their racing series and the chair hugs you like a proper Recaro seat. In the Blue/Black trim, the top and bottom are wrapped in PVC leather for tremendous durability. Vertagear uses a premium high resilience foam which is highly comfortable and has been engineered to deliver years of use without wearing out.
It rolls on color matched Penta RS1 Casters that feature a polyurethane finish for effortless movement across carpet or hardwood floors. The chair is compromised of a quality steel frame that is backed by a fantastic 10 year warranty. This comfortably accommodates frames up to 6′ 4″ and 260lbs (max weight set at 330lbs). Adjustments in height and backrest are simple to use, able to recline up to 140 degrees. Tilt tension is also adjustable, allowing you to dial in the desired sitting position with ease. 4D armrests are in place, allowing gamers to make adjustments front to back, left to right and vertically.
Midnight Blue: Special Edition
This special Midnight Blue Edition from Vertagear is just gorgeous. This trim expands upon the base SL5000 model. The upper and lower side bolsters are wrapped in a deep blue PU Leather, while the center of the backrest and seat cushion are black, comprised of a soft, alcantara like material. I absolutely love the yellow stitching against the black and blue colors on this model.
The latest Wireless RGB LED Kit is on this model as well and it’s without a doubt a neck breaker. This add-on is not cheap at $299 (we have seen sales on this addon before), but if you can swing it…treat yourself! It comes with a USB adapter, that gives you access to 16.8 colors, plus game and audio sync if you really want to show off. It’s a premium upgrade that has to be seen in person, as it really adds some serious presence to the already impressive SL5000 line.
