HyperX has stepped up to the next level with their latest full sized RGB gaming keyboard, the Alloy Origins. While they already have an impressive lineup of models available, this new release introduces HyperX Red Mechanical Switches and it’s something PC gamers should put on their wish list.
The Alloy Origins Gaming Keyboard takes the best from the Alloy FPS RGB, while improving upon it with their very own HyperX Red Mechanical Switches. These custom switches feature a 1.8mm actuation point, a travel point of 3.8mm and a actuation force of 45g. They are also rated for 80 million clicks.
This provides an extremely low point of resistance, making each key press easier and much more fluid in feeling. The feedback given through the Alloy Origins is simply phenomenal. It is something you notice immediately and it’s certainly going to convert some folks over once they get to try one out.
“HyperX invested two years developing a series of key switches with features and design specifications required by gamers and is excited to bring the branded switches to the gaming market,” – Jennifer Ishii
Gamers can take it one step further with Custom Game Mode. It allows for some impressive customization, such as enabling or disabling keys, creating macros and custom profiles thanks to the on-board memory and HyperX NGENUITY software. This latest model comes equipped with the popular 100 percent anti-ghosting and full N-key rollover features as well.
Few keyboards come to mind that match the presentation and quality found on the HyperX Alloy Origins. It has proven to be a conversation starter, as the customized RGB lighting effects (Wave, Solid, Breathing, Trigger and more) can’t help but draw your attention. They are without a doubt the brightest and most impressive RGB LEDs we have seen on any model to date. The trade-off for this powerful RGB light experience, is that it has to be hardwired in through USB.
“Everything in place on the Alloy Origins is a testament to the engineering that went into this new model by HyperX.”
Outside of the excellent lighting, the overall aesthetics and design that HyperX has implemented here are equally eye catching as well, whether you are admiring the stealth black finish, slim profile or solid steel frame.
There is no shortage of options when it comes to gaming keyboards, but few if any will match what HyperX has accomplished with the Alloy Origins model. The brand new, made in-house red mechanical switches perform brilliantly. The RGB LEDs in place here are arguably the best in the industry and the customization offered through the HyperX NGENUITY software make this the model to beat in 2019.
